TERRANOID: Living Is an Active Survival and Movement(I First Mentioned This Terranoid in January 2026.) (Wheeled Submarine Residential Building)
This project presents TERRANOID, a self-sustaining mobile territory designed for
total independence.
Design Note on Scale: While the current prototype in the Roblox environment is
built slightly larger than a standard bus due to the technical limitations of hitboxes
and narrow space manipulation within the engine, the actual engineering blueprint
is optimized for South Korean standard tour bus dimensions (approx. 12.5m
in length). This ensures that the vehicle remains compliant with road traffic laws
while maximizing internal living volume.
TERANOID integrates high-efficiency energy harvesting (PVT), long-life storage
(LFP), and a closed-loop resource cycle to redefine the concept of "home" from a
static land-based asset to a dynamic, survival-oriented infrastructure.
Supplies
1. Energy Storage: (LFP) Battery Bank
Key Features: Implementation of Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4)
chemistry.
Engineering Rationale: LFP batteries are selected for their superior thermal
stability and extended cycle life (over 3,000 cycles). This is critical for Active
Survival in off-grid environments or maritime conditions where external
infrastructure is unavailable.
2. Power Plant: High-Torque Quad-Electric Motors
Key Features: Four-zone independently controlled electric propulsion
system.
Engineering Rationale: Designed to generate high torque at low RPMs to
manage the 12.5m large-scale chassis. The low-noise profile ensures
stealthy movement and enhances the quality of the onboard living
environment.
3. Energy Harvesting: Hybrid PVT (Photovoltaic Thermal) Panels
Key Features: Hybrid panels that simultaneously harvest electrical (PV) and
thermal energy.
Engineering Rationale: Maximizes energy density within the limited roof
surface area. While generating electricity from sunlight, the system recovers
waste heat from the back of the panels to provide hot water and interior
heating, achieving high thermodynamic efficiency.
4. Agricultural System: Integrated Hydroponic Unit
Crop Selection: Rice and Wheat (Primary carbohydrate sources).
Self-Sufficiency Strategy:
Space Optimization: Utilizes high-density hydroponic systems to
maximize yield within the confined interior.
Resource Circularity: Establishes a Closed-loop Ecosystem by
repurposing nutrients extracted from the "Mixer-Cycle" purification system
as liquid fertilizer.
Survival Sovereignty: Ensures food security by directly cultivating staple
crops, completing the requirements for a fully independent mobile territory.
5 Exterior & Ecology: 500-Year Durability
Shell Material: Constructed with Grade 316 Stainless Steel to ensure anti
corrosion against seawater and structural integrity for over 500 years.
Bio-Integration: Eco-friendly Moss Layers are installed both internally and
externally. These moss installations function as a natural oxygen generator,
significantly enhancing the air quality and breathability within the TERANOID.6. Triple-Layered Pillar & Hybrid Insulation
Core Reinforcement: The internal corner pillars feature a triple-shield
structure: Reinforced Concrete — Roman Concrete — Granite. This
combination provides historical-grade durability and seismic resistance.
Upcycled Insulation: The gap between the oval exterior and rectangular
interior is filled with sandbags containing recycled textiles and coffee
grounds (coffee bricks).
Weight Distribution: A total of 1.5 tons (100–120 bags, 15kg each) is
used for maximum thermal insulation.
Ballast System: The inherently heavy LFP batteries are strategically
positioned to act as ballast, lowering the center of gravity for maritime
stability.
7. High-Security Energy Shield & Mobility
Tactical PVT Protection: The PVT panels are protected by a dual-layer
shield:
Primary Layer (Silicone): High-elasticity silicone absorbs impacts and
provides bullet-resistant properties.
Secondary Layer (Polycarbonate): Offers 100 times the impact strength
of standard glass while remaining lightweight.
Reinforcement: The shield edges are reinforced with Stainless Steel for
high-altitude/high-pressure stability.
8.Mobility: Equipped with a 6-wheel system to ensure maximum load distribution
and off-road stability
Legal Feasibility & Socio-Political Sovereignty
Step 1: Legal Compliance & Socio-Political Sovereignty
1. Road Act & Vehicle Control Act: Legitimacy of Land Transit
- Compliance: Designed in strict accordance with the 'Automobile Management Act' (Enforcement Decree Art. 2) for large passenger vehicles, with a maximum length of 13.5m.
- Engineering Logic: Registered as a 'Specialized Camping Vehicle'. The 3-axle (6-wheel) system is engineered to distribute the structural load of Roman concrete, ensuring the Axle Load remains under 10 tons to comply with the 'Road Act' and prevent infrastructure damage.
2. Law of the Sea & Maritime Safety Act: Legitimacy of Navigation
- Compliance: Adheres to the 'Ship Act' and the 'Water-Related Leisure Safety Act'.
- Engineering Logic: Officially classified as an 'Amphibious Motorized Leisure Craft'. The Grade 316 Stainless Steel hull and quad-propeller system ensure maritime integrity. The LFP Battery Bank is strategically placed as fixed ballast at the lowest point of the hull, maximizing the metacentric height ($GM$) for superior self-righting stability.
3. Building Act: Legitimacy of Habitation
- Compliance: 'Building Act' (Enforcement Decree Art. 15) regarding Temporary Structures.
- Engineering Logic: Defined as a 'Mobile Housing Unit' or 'Temporary Structure' that is not permanently fixed to the ground, thereby operating outside traditional land-ownership and property tax restrictions. While legally "temporary," the internal Roman concrete and Granite pillars provide structural resilience exceeding that of permanent Grade-A buildings.
4. Constitutional Right: The Pursuit of Happiness (Art. 10)
- Philosophical Logic: The Constitution of Korea guarantees human dignity and the Right to Pursue Happiness. TERANOID serves as a physical manifest of 'Freedom of Residence' and 'Freedom of Movement'. It enables true independence from national infrastructure through self-sustaining energy (PVT) and closed-loop life support.
5. Water Environment Conservation Act
- Logic: Implementation of a 'Zero-Liquid Discharge (ZLD)' system.
- Engineering Rationale: Achieves 100% resource recovery via high-speed centrifugal purification and Bio-filter (Moss) filtration. This ensures zero environmental footprint, providing a legal mandate for long-term stay even in protected ecological zones or National Parks.
6. Energy Use Rationalization Act
- Logic: Energy sovereignty through an autonomous PVT-LFP Off-grid system.
- Engineering Rationale: Aligns with national policies for renewable energy. In crisis scenarios, TERANOID functions as a Mobile Energy Storage System (ESS), transforming from a private residence into a Public Utility Asset for disaster resilience.
7. UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS)
- Logic: Legal framework for the High Seas and International Waters.
- Engineering Rationale: Invokes the status of a 'Mobile Offshore Unit (MOU)'. This establishes the legal foundation for 'Extra-territorial Sovereignty', allowing TERANOID to function as a floating micro-nation beyond traditional maritime boundaries.
The Tri-Shield Pillar – Fusion of Ancient & Modern Engineering
This pillar is a "Tri-Shield" structure combining modern flexibility with ancient durability. It consists of a Reinforced Concrete core for vibration absorption, a Granite buffer for extreme compression resistance, and a Roman Concrete outer shell for self-healing and maritime protection.
Zero-Waste Insulation – Upcycling Sacks, Clothes, and Coffee Grounds
We utilize a "Zero-Waste Sandwich" panel made from upcycled materials.
- Outer: Jute Sacks provide structural tension and a moisture barrier.
- Middle: Recycled Clothing creates a dead-air layer for superior thermal insulation.
- Inner: Coffee Grounds act as a natural antibacterial deodorant and acoustic damper.
The Oval-Rect-Angle Structural Innovation
[Summary] The chassis has evolved into the "Oval-Rect-Angle" structure, a hybrid design that balances structural integrity and habitability. Additionally, I’ve integrated transparent monitoring sections using high-strength polycarbonate.
1. Interior Square Structure: Habitability The rectilinear interior allows for the efficient installation of household appliances like a rice cooker, sink, and sanitation system, creating a functional underwater habitat.
2. Exterior Oval Shield: Pressure Resistance The elliptical outer shell is mathematically optimized to distribute external water pressure evenly, ensuring safety at great depths.
3. Mechanical Layer & Gear-Meshed Wheels The 3-motor system is housed in the "basement." The massive wheels are directly meshed with precision gears, providing the immense torque needed to move the 6.25-ton body with reliable traction.
4. Visual Monitoring via Polycarbonate Windows I have strategically used polycarbonate panels to allow for visual monitoring of critical systems. Through these transparent sections, the pilot can check the status of the LFP battery pack and the health of the hydroponic garden in real-time, ensuring both safety and system maintenance.
5. Integrated Life Support The hydroponic garden provides fresh oxygen and food, complemented by a compact, high-efficiency bathroom module for long-term missions.
The 1.5-Story Interior & Advanced Silicone Bed System
[Spatial Strategy: The 1.5-Story Loft] To optimize the 2.4m internal ceiling height of the Terranoid, I designed a 1.5-story loft structure. By physically separating the 'Living Zone' on the lower level from the 'Resting Zone' on the upper level, I achieved maximum spatial efficiency. This layout ensures a psychological sense of openness and comfort, which is essential for long-term habitation in a 35-ton mobile fortress.
[The Innovation of the Silicone Bed System] The resting area features a custom-engineered High-Elastic Silicone Bed. This is a critical component of the vehicle's survival system, offering several key advantages:
- Vibration Damping & Stability: The viscoelastic properties of silicone effectively absorb micro-vibrations and shocks generated during 35-ton overland transit or amphibious operations. This ensures a stable, medical-grade sleeping environment regardless of external terrain.
- Vertical Space Optimization: Due to its high material density, the silicone bed is significantly thinner than traditional mattresses while providing superior pressure distribution. This saved 10–15cm of vital headroom, making the 1.5-story configuration both possible and comfortable.
- Maintenance-Free Hygiene & Easy Cleaning: The non-porous surface of the silicone prevents the absorption of moisture, dust, and odors. In extreme survival scenarios where resources are limited, the bed can be easily sterilized with minimal water, ensuring long-term sanitary safety and effortless maintenance.
The Sovereign Nomad – Philosophy of Circulation and Freedom
Modern humanity is tethered to fragile national infrastructures. TERANOID is a declaration of independence. By integrating self-sustaining energy (PVT), water purification (ZLD), and mobile architecture, it empowers individuals to reclaim their "Sovereignty of Life" from centralized systems.
