Piano Table With Lid - Perfect for Casio CT-S100 (downloadable Plans and Instructions)
In this instructable I share how to build a digital piano table with a hinged lid, designed as a more stable, functional, and visually pleasing alternative to typical commercial keyboard stands.
The project was originally designed and tested with a Casio CT-S100, and compatible with S200 and S300. But it can be easily adapted to other digital pianos of similar size by adjusting just a few measurements.
The main goal was simple: to create a comfortable piano setup for daily practice that also blends nicely into a living space when the instrument is not in use.
Supplies
- 35x35 mm square wooden slat
- 15 mm thick plywood
- Chrome hinges
I spend about 60 eur in Spain (about 60 usd) but it depends of quality of materials you take and country. More details about sizes and quanty in the downloadable file.

Hinged Lid Design: Practical and Clean
One of the key features of this project is the hinged lid, which offers two very different but equally useful configurations:
With the lid closed
- The top surface is completely flat and clean
- The piano visually disappears into the furniture
- Perfect for keeping the space tidy when not playing
With the lid open
- A very practical upper surface is created
- Ideal for sheet music, a metronome, a tablet, or small accessories
- Everything stays within easy reach, without extra stands
When opened, the side panels are not tall vertical walls, but angled surfaces that follow the profile of the piano, which:
- Improves overall aesthetics
- Reduces visual bulk
- Gives the table a lighter, more refined look
