How to Make a Lego Stop Motion
Here we will giving you a step by step guide of how to make a lego movie
*warning* we will not give you certain sets or characters to use you will have to find them on your own.
Gathering Materials
Before you begin filming you have to gather your needed materials.
Some things you need before filming are.....
- Legos
- Camera or Ipad
- Stop Motion app
- Plot
- Lighting
- And preferably a large base plates or a large set ( like a mountain a city or a desert any other place
Next, you have to find a good place to film the movie. A good place you can film is on a table, near a green screen, or the ground.
Think of a Plot
You can do this several different ways if you have made a movie before than take the bits you liked and fill in the blanks. If you haven't done this before than I would recommend watching a few videos on how to make a decent plot below is the the link to the ted talk we used.

Film!!!!!!!!!
If you want good quality film use 24 FPS(frames per second). we used 4 FPS and still only got five and a half minutes of video so patience. The way you film is by putting any lego minifigure on a baseplate and taking a picture of it. Then move the the figure one step on the baseplate and take another picture. Keep doing this until on your filming device, you have someone walking down the street or grass.
Add Voices to Your Video.
With the stop motion studio app there is a voices button. When you press on that and then press record it will play your movie and you can talk to add voices to your stop motion video. If you have a lot of film, it'll be a while of you sitting there and doing voices, but, it's worth it in the end.
Finished With Movie!
Now you are finished with your stop motion video! Show your family members and friends and be amazed by all the work you've done. It takes a while, but it's definentlly worth it in the end.
