How to Find the End Portal in Minecraft? Simple Guide
A player with advanced skills can unlock the final area in Minecraft - The End. In the final episode, players face the ender dragon and explore the sky cities filled with treasure. However, you'll have to find an End Portal using the Eyes of Ender before you can do this. Before you begin this long and difficult journey, make sure you're well-equipped.
Players of Bedrock Edition: The End is only available in versions 1.0 and above (released December 2016) and is not available in the "Old" world type.
To get the portal to work in Creative Mode, just create a new one around yourself while standing in the center. This ensures that the blocks are facing in the right direction.
Enter the Nether
In order to make an End Portal, you need ingredients only found in the Nether, the underworld of Minecraft. Create a Nether portal and travel through it to get started.
The Nether Portal is made from placing obsidian blocks in a rectangle that is 4 blocks wide and 5 blocks high, ignoring the interiors of the rectangle. You can skip the corners if you are low on obsidian. With flint and steel, ignite the lower obsidian blocks.
- A dangerous area exists in the Nether. Put on your enchanted diamond equipment and bring your favorite food.
- You may also need to have a shield, a bow, and arrows, so you can defend and craft items
Kill Blazes in Order to Collect Blaze Rods
Smoke surrounds yellow, floating monsters known as Blazes. A Nether fortress is any structure supported by pillars over a lava ocean where they can be found. Get Blaze rods from the blazes that you defeat. A typical end portal is usually activated after you have collected five blaze rods, and it can take up to seven.
- Traveling along the x-axis (east or west) makes finding Nether fortresses much easier.
- The rods drop only if you kill the blazes directly or you use a tamed wolf to kill them. An enchanted bow or snowballs are helpful (seven snowballs will effectively put out a blaze).
Kill Endermen to Collect Ender Pearls
'Endermen' are a group of black, tentacled mobs that attack only when they are seen. Kill Endermen until you get plenty of Ender pearls. For each blaze rod, you will need two ender pearls.
- By using a diamond sword with the Looting enchantment, you will increase your chances of obtaining Ender Pearls, making the task easier.
- Endermen can be found in groups of one to four in the Overworld. In the Nether, they can spawn in groups of four on a very rare occasion. Typically, they spawn when light levels are 7 or lower.
- The Endermen are capable of killing you if you are not careful.
Make Eyes of Ender
With the Eyes of Ender, you can locate end portals and activate them. Usually, 9 ender eyes are needed, but sometimes more. The following recipes will help you create them:
- You can turn a blaze rod into two blaze powders by placing it in the crafting area.
- You can create an eye of ender by combining blaze powder with ender pearl somewhere in the crafting area.
